One of the things that is really striking about Captain America The First Avenger is the look and feel of the entire film. On the one hand there is the 1940s era US and the various elements of the story that show this, but on the other there are all the comic book features, such as the Hydra costumes.

If you’re as fascinated by all this as I was then maybe this book: The Art of Captain America is what you need
