Top Gun: Maverick New Trailer

Tom Cruise plays Capt. Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in Top Gun: Maverick from Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Jerry Bruckheimer Films.

Top Gun: Maverick, which will be released on June 26th 2020, has got a new trailer – I mentioned the first one a few months back.

I suspect that a lot of us are really looking forward to this film as we remember the original all too well.

This time round the film will be 100% centred around Tom Cruise’s character Maverick. It’s been 33 years since the first film was released so the 20 something year old Cruise is now in his late 50s!

Anyway here’s the new trailer:

Here’s the official synopsis:

After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose”.

The film will feature a lot of familiar faces Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, and Ed Harris.
