If you’ve seen any of the Shrek films then you’ll already be familiar with Antonio Banderas’ incarnation of Puss in Boots. It doesn’t matter whether you like cats or not, but the combination of the graphics, motion and Banderas’ voice talent created a character that was truly memorable. So it’s not that surprising that Hollywood is going to cash in on the popularity of the character with a Puss In Boots film. The film will be going on release in November (at least in the US) and stars the voice talents of Antonia Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris.
The current teaser trailer really doesn’t give away much about the film, so I have to rely on the blurb:
“Puss In Boots – one of the most beloved characters of the Shrek universe – tells the hilarious and courageous (daring, bold, brave) tale of Puss’s (Antonio Banderas) early adventures as he teams with mastermind Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis) and the street-savvy Kitty (Salma Hayek) to steal the famed Goose that lays the Golden Eggs.”
