One such gem is Barry Norman’s original review of Top Gun from 1986. Barry Norman, who passed away in 2017, hosted the BBC’s aptly named “Film”.

The piece was originally broadcast in October 1986 when Top Gun first came out in the UK and Ireland.
The original Top Gun movie starred Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer and a host of other stars. I’ll freely admit I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve watched it.
